Ylang-ylang (Cananga odorata), known for its highly fragrant flowers, is a plant steeped in many traditional, spiritual, and symbolic beliefs throughout the tropical cultures where it grows, particularly in Southeast Asia, the Indian Ocean (Comoros, Madagascar), and Polynesia.
Its sweet, floral scent is reputed to be an aphrodisiac and can be used to create a romantic atmosphere.
